Custom Officers Distrupt Activities in Sango, Kill Girl (Graphic Photos)

Policemen carrying away the body

It is indeed a black Monday in Sango Ota area of Ogun state.

All was going well until some custom officers invaded the Abeokuta expressway, shooting sporadically into the air.

A young girl was shot dead in the midst of this.

 See exclusive photos below:
The  young girl was in her employer's shop, turning "Amala" at  Sango garage when a stray bullet fired by the customs officers hit her and led to her unfortunate instant death.

Surprisingly, the custom officers did not deem it fit to wait and take responsibility for their careless action as they zoomed off.

I was beyond shock when I saw  the young girl covered  in  her own pool of  blood.

Other eye witness who could identify the girl claimed she's from Cotonou.

The shooting started at about past 10am from Joju area of Sango Ota,.

The  custom officers were blaring horns and shooting, after seizing bags of rice from  smugglers (fayawo). Many including me ran for dear life,  packing in their wares and seeking covers.

The Sango Ota, Ogun state police division has since taken the body of the girl off the highway.

This is a very sad incident, for how long will the innocent continue to lose their lives, in the hands of those vested with the responsibility of protecting them?
