The Ogun State Government has begun moves to reconcile victims of the
Akute baby-making factory with their families. Also, 2 babies delivered
after their mothers were rescued have been named after Governor Ibikunle
Amosun: they are King David Etimbuk Omotoyosi Amosun and Queen
Elizabeth Morayoninuoluwa Onyinyechukwu Amosun.
The Ogun State Commissioner of Women Affairs and
Social Development, Mrs. Elizabeth Sonubi, while speaking with newsmen
at the Stella Obasanjo Children Home, Ibara, Abeokuta said: “We have
sent correspondences to their respective state governments and some of
them have responded and they are now willing to have them and ready for
repatriation. Our mandate is to see to the survival and protection of
the children and that is what we are doing currently".
