Jonathan destroying Nigeria before handing over – APC
The All Progressives Congress has said President Goodluck Jonathan is handing over a nation in deep crisis, even as his administration continues to contrive more crises without making any effort to solve any of them.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Lai Mohammed, the party, , appealed to Nigerians not to lose hope, despite the daunting challenges they are currently facing in this atmosphere of contrived chaos.
It said help is on the way.
”In a few days’ time, President Jonathan will hand over to President-elect Muhammadu Buhari,” the APC said. Never in the history of our country has any government handed over to another a more distressed country: No electricity, no fuel, workers are on strike, billions are owed to state and federal workers, 60 billion dollars are owed in national debt and the economy is virtually grounded.
”Today, Nigerians are roaming the streets, jerry cans in hand, searching for everything from kerosene to fuel to diesel to power their homes, keep their vehicles on the road and keep their businesses going. They are paying as much as 300 Naira per litre for fuel, if at all they can get it. Yet their government is not saying a word about the situation.”
My husband’s plan covers every Nigerian child — Aisha Buhari
Aisha Buhari, the wife of Nigeria’s president-elect, has assured the people of Nigeria of the incoming government’s commitment to the development of children in every geopolitical zone of the country.
In a statement released to mark the International Children’s Day on May 27, Mrs. Buhari said education was going to be one of the main focuses of the incoming APC government.
“Our children are our future,” she said. “Education of our children is the best way to secure the future of our country.”
Mrs. Buhari also called for the implementation of the Child Rights Act which has been passed by the National Assembly, which is yet to be adopted by all the states of Nigeria.
“Even if it means adapting the Act to suit their specific needs,” she said, “the Child Rights Act must be adopted in every single state of our country.”
The incoming First Lady also assured Nigerians that, despite the need to focus on eradicating Boko Haram and restoring normalcy to life in the north east states of Nigeria, especially regarding encouraging children to return to school and making schools safe for all children, no child in any other part of Nigeria will be left out of the Buhari government’s plan for children.
“No child in Nigeria will be left out of my husband’s plan for Nigeria,” she said. “Every child in every geopolitical zone of the country will be taken care of by the APC federal government.”
Over N121 billion wasted, Nigeria’s troubled National ID Card project in fresh controversy
The National Identity Management Agency [NIMC] has been engaged in expensive media razzmatazz and glitzy photo ops with top politicians and other prominent Nigerians in the past year. But these may just be a facade to hide the fact that the national identity card project currently lie in a legal limbo that may eventually cost the government as much as N44 billion of tax payers money in damages for an alleged breach of contract.
The current legal logjam hovering over the project was occasioned by what the Managing Director of Chams Consortium Limited, Demola Aladekomo, described as an abuse of office and executive highhandedness by the Director General of NIMC, Chris Onyemenam.
Chams, which was the initial concessionaires of the project, has therefore dragged NIMC to a Federal High Court in Abuja, seeking an order to stop further implementation of the programme. It is also asking the court to order the Federal Government to pay N44 billion in damages.
In interviews with PREMIUM TIMES, Mr. Aladekomo said his company was awarded the concession in a transparent bid process that involved 65 international companies in 2007, following the recommendations of a 2006 Presidential Implementation Committee, headed by the then Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Nasir El-Rufai, on how to deliver on a project that has gulped several billions but has remained largely in limbo for decades.
Exclusive) Why NAFDAC shuts down Chocolat Royal, cool, wazobia FM chairman on the run
Chocolat Royale outlet at 267A Etim Iyang Crescent VI, Lagos
*DG vows to prosecute offenders
*Says company will remain close until after investigation
Don Norman Obinna.
The real reasons the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) Tuesday night, sealed completely the business outlet of a popular elite and confectionary company, Chocolat Royal has emerged, The City Reporters can exclusively report.
Apart from the importation, storage and use of fake, unregistered and expired/unwholesome food products to produce consumables for customers, we can authoritatively report that Chocolat Royal was sealed by NAFDAC on discovery of six illegal 40ft cold rooms fully stocked with contaminated food products built on top of sewages (suck away pit) and in front of toilets.
Not only that majority of these food products discovered, have expired since 2004, (11- years ago) and the least 2013, the most worrisome aspect of it all was the discovery to the consternation of NAFDAC officials that the management of Chocolat Royal had revalidated the expiring dates of almost all the food products, while 90 % of them were not even written in English language and therefore not registered.
While two of the illegal cold rooms built in front of toilets were discovered at the Chocolat Royal headquarters at 267A Etim Iyang Crescent, another two were discovered and also sealed at N0 1 Karimu Kotun resident of the Chairman, Mr Amin Moussalli both located in Victoria Island Lagos.
Investigations revealed that Mr Moussalli the chairman of AIM consultants with chains of media houses which include, Cool, Nigeria Info, Wazobia FM stations, Cool as well as WEE television stations who is now at large travels abroad to source for companies whose food products have few months to expire.
This Lebanese business mogul receives these products mostly for free or at a reduced price and also gets paid from these companies to evacuate the products which ordinarily would have cost them colossal amount of money to dispose and ships in large quantities to Nigeria which has become his dumping ground for food toxic for close to two decades.

BUHARI EXPOSES THE FRAUD CALLED FUEL SUBSIDY : SH-O-C-K-E-R: I don’t know what fuel subsidy means – BUHARI; you’ll be shocked by secrets revealed by GMB
The President-elect, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has express his dismay over the scam called FUEL SUBSIDY. The General in recent interview with Daily Trust express what he termed as confusion over the subsidy issue.
Read excerpts from the interview:
One burning issue is fuel subsidy. I believe you are aware of the queues in major cities like Lagos and Abuja. The fuel importers say they are unsure of the direction of the new government in this area. Have you considered maintaining or withdrawing this subsidy or are you questioning whether it didn’t exist at all?
One of the problems I have, other than the military, is the petroleum industry where I served for three and a half years under General Obasanjo. When people start talking about this subsidy I honestly get confused. I will tell you this, and I hope it will answer what you want to know. Back then we had a refinery in Port Harcourt, which was refining 30,000 barrels a day of Nigerian crude.
Later, it was upgraded to refine 100,000 barrels a day. Another refinery was built in Port Harcourt to refine 150,000 barrels per day of Nigerian crude. So, Port Harcourt alone had the capacity to refine 250,000 barrels per day of Nigerian crude.
But when I found myself as the Minister of Petroleum I set up another refinery in Warri for 100, 000 barrels per day of Nigerian crude and the Kaduna refinery a 100, 000 barrels per day. So Nigeria built capacity to refine 450,000 a day.
