‘Don’t oppose my husband’s government’ – Gov. Fayose’s wife warns politicians



Wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Mrs. Feyisetan Fayose, has warned the antagonists of the continuity agenda of her husband’s administration in the state not to obstruct the work of God as consequences of that would be too much for them to bear.



Mrs. Fayose said God had revealed to her long time ago that her husband was going for a position of authority higher than the governorship he was holding.

According to a statement issued by her Special Assistant (Media), Gbenga Ariyibi, she said this in Ado Ekiti during the New Year thanksgiving service.

Designer called out for giving out bride’s wedding gown to Actress Mercy Aigbe for birthday photoshoot



An aggrieved bride @rettypety, whose wedding was scheduled for 29th December 2017, has called out her designer, Maryam Elisha (@rikaotobyme) for giving out a gown meant for her wedding to Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe for her 40th birthday photoshoot.

According to her after she started crying because of the incident because she had nothing else to fall back to, however the tailor who reportedly told her that the delivery guy defaulted on waybilling of the gown, suggested giving her one of her old clothes after disappointing her.

NLC Issues 14-day Ultimatum To Banks To Recall Sacked Workers


The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) wednesday issued a 14-day ultimatum to six banks, ordering them to recall the sacked workers or face closure of their bank outlets across nationwide,this comes as a result of the mass retrenchment in the banking sector which has led to the sacking of about 3,000 workers.

The letter of ultimatum was issued to Fidelity Bank, Diamond Bank, First City Monument Bank, First Bank, Eco Bank and Skye Bank.

In a statement, signed by the NLC Deputy General Secretary, Mr. Chris Uyot, on behalf of the President, Ayuba Wabba, the NLC said the inability of the banks to address the crisis with the National Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Institutions Employees prompted the union to take the current industrial action.

President Buhari Expected Back In Nigeria Today


President Muhammadu Buhari is expected back in the country today from London, if there won’t be any last minute changes.

Buhari had last week Monday commenced a 10-day holiday and proceeded to London the same day. Sources say he would return today, except there are last minute changes.

Rivers State University Fixes Date For Post-UME, Disregards FG Directive


Despite the Federal government directive on the scrapping of the Post-UTME Screening exercise, Rivers state-owned University in an announcement signed by the Registrar, D.C Odimabo has released a schedule for conducting the examination.

The announcement reads in part, “All candidates who chose the Rivers State University of Science and Technology during the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and have received notification to that effect from JAMB are hereby requested to take note of the following:-

“The screening exercise for admission of candidates will be administered only on candidates who chose RSUST and have received notification to that effect from JAMB.
