The senator, who is also the wife of a national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, said there are eminently qualified women in the National Assembly to occupy principal positions.

Gov. Oshiomhole Clarifies Another Thing About Wife, Says She Is Not A Model

Governor Oshiomhole today while speaking at the thanksgiving Mass at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Auchi clarified yet another thing. According to the Governor, his wife, Lara Fortes now Mrs Oshiomhole was never a model and neither is she one at the moment. He also went ahead to say, yes he has remarried, but his late wife Clara, can never be replaceable. Hear him;
“When I read newspaper stories and they say that Comrade has married a ‘top model’ I’m like maybe it’s another person. The lady that God has directed to my path and heart to marry is not and was not a model. Of course, she looks beautiful and I understand that is why people assume that this kind of a lady must be a model but of course, she is a model in my heart and we hope and pray that we will be models in the heart of our God and I think that is the most important thing”.
“I ask you to please continue to pray for us. It is not easy. I lost my first wife and it is not possible to replace her. Yes, I have married another but it is not a replacement. You cannot replace a wife especially one you married when you were young and you were anonymous. Nobody knew you from anywhere, you had nothing, no car, no house; now, you can never replace but I understand that under the Catholic doctrine I am entitled to have another wife which is what I am trying to do’’ he said.

African First Ladies Summit leadership: Patience Jonathan denies blocking Buhari’s wife

First Lady Mrs Patience Jonathan has denied allegations of plotting to prevent wife of the President-elect, Aisha Buhari from replacing her as President of the African First Ladies Peace Mission (AFLPM). Mrs Jonathan had in April sent out a letter of invitation to other first Ladies calling for the 8th AFLPM summit to be held in Abuja on May 15th where they will discuss on how to facilitate a smooth and formal hand over to the new Executive Committee that will pilot the affairs of the Peace Mission for the next two years, a move some people found to be against Mrs Buhari assuming her position after May 29th when her husband will have been sworn in.

In a statement released by her media aide, Mr. Ayo Adewuyi, Mrs Jonathan said there was an understanding in the Mission that the summit will hold on the 15th of May, 2015 if Pres. Jonathan loses the 2015 Presidential election. The statement after the cut

Are they back together? Loved up photos of Femi & Funke Kuti

Until they release a statement denying they are back together, I chose to believe that they are. The former married couple were spotted holding hands, laughing, chatting and generally having a good time at Tunde and Wunmi Obe’s album listening party over the weekend.

This is not the first time the two will be photographed together in such ‘suggestive circumstances’ though they keep insisting they are just friends. Uuuhmmm. See more photos after the cut...

SEE Who Is Standing Next To President Jonathan

… And in the two photos made available to us, former Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo was the one standing next to President Jonathan as they posed to take photographs after holding a meeting of the Council of State, which held yesterday inside the Presidential Villa. Obasanjo has before now been avoiding such meetings but strolled in at around 12:15pm to attend the meeting that started at 11:00am yesterday. See another photo below...
